Our general English classes give students a good grounding in vocabulary and grammar and extensive practice of the skills in listening, reading, speaking and writing. Our classes are small with students from a wide range of countries so you have a wonderful opportunity to practice communicating with others and learning about other cultures.
We offer general English classes at a variety of levels:
CEFR A1 – Elementary level
CEFR A2 – Pre-intermediate level
CEFR B1 – Intermediate
CEFR B2 – Upper-intermediate
CEFR C1 – Advanced
Each level is based on a course book syllabus and includes grammar and vocabulary as well as all four skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking). You will be invited to take a placement test at the College before you start the course to assess your level to make sure you study in the right class.
The Cambridge First Certificate (FCE), Cambridge Advanced (CAE) and IELTS exams are recognised around the world.
We have many years’ experience preparing students for both IELTS and Cambridge exams. The teaching team has more than 120 years teaching experience between them.
Our exam classes will get you ready for your exam and help you improve quickly so that you can give your best possible performance in your exam.
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, which tests English proficiency across the globe.
IELTS tests all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking. IELTS is the premier exam for entrance to UK universities.
