Do you currently hold an undergraduate degree and would like to teach a specialist vocational subject area in the post-14 sector? The part-time Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PgCE) for Teaching in Further Education course has been designed to suit those who would like to gain a teaching qualification alongside their current commitments such as work or family. It is also ideal if you are looking for a career change.

You will have a passion for education and your specialist subject in particular which could be music, art, sport and more and will want to inspire young people and adults to enjoy learning about the subject.

You will undertake a placement of 150 hours to develop your teaching practice in an educational setting.

Once you complete this course you will be eligible to apply for QTLS, which is as highly regarded as QTS by employers.
