Introduction to Professional Cookery - Level 1

• 3 GCSEs at grade 2 or above including English and maths
• A demonstrable interest in food preparation and cooking; or a Certificate in Hospitality and Catering
• A robust initial assessment process around practical and academic ability will be carried out to support level of ability

If you achieve:

• GCSE grade 3 in English or maths

AND

• GCSE grade 1 in English or maths

AND

• Two other GCSEs at grade 2 or above

You can still study this course, but you will need to complete Entry Level 3 and Level 1 Functional Skills alongside it.

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve CGLI Level 1 Diploma in Introduction to Professional Cookery.

The course is also fully endorsed, all knowledge, skills and behaviours are transferable, which supports you in preparation for work.

English and maths are fully embedded into the course, both practically and academically. You will be given the opportunity to practice both English and maths throughout the course.

Upon successful completion of this course, you could progress onto Professional Cookery - Level 2.
