Applied Science - Level 2

• 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English, maths and science.

On successful completion you will receive BTEC First Award in Application of Science and BTEC First Award in Principles of Applied Science.

As a Science student, you will complete at least five days of work experience in a science setting.

You will also have one lesson a week dedicated to work preparation. You will be supported to write your CV, explore behaviour at work and take part in mock interviews.

As part of your course you will complete charity fundraising and take part in competitions.

Scientists rely heavily on English and mathematical skills, from chemical calculations to forensic measurements, scales, report writing and communication skills. We embed both subjects into your programme. 

You can progress to a Level 3 Applied Science course or a range of other courses in the College, including Health and Social Care, Childcare, Access to HE and Engineering when you successfully complete this course.
