This Acting - Level 3 course has been specifically developed to prepare you for a career in acting. You will focus on essential dramatic techniques, theatre making and live stage performance. You will train in our multi-million-pound Performance Academy, equipped with state-of-the-art studios, facilities and in-house theatres.

Our focus is on developing your core skills as an actor to support your future career goals. We will introduce you to both classical and contemporary theatre practices, as well as a range of practitioner methods, in order to expand your performance repertoire. Alongside practical acting techniques, you will delve into the history and developments of theatre, performance and current industry insights.

You will learn to use a range of vocal and physical techniques in performance, as well as improvisation and methods of script analysis to portray engaging performances. You will learn to write and direct your own work through devising, touch on mediums such as acting for screen and voice acting, as well as take part in three large-scale performances each year.

What can I do with a qualification in Acting?

Daily tasks:

  • Plays pre-recorded music at nightclubs, discotheques, and private functions.
  • Conducts interviews and prepares reports for news broadcasts, current affairs programmes and documentaries.
  • Introduces and presents radio and television programmes, reads news bulletins and makes announcements.
  • Trains animals to perform entertaining routines and may perform with them.
  • Performs singing, comedy, acrobatic, illusion and conjuring routines.
  • Assumes character created by a playwright or author and communicates this to an audience.
  • Studies script, play or book and prepares and rehearses interpretation.
