Advanced Dance - Level 3

• 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above.

including

• 1 GCSE grade 4 or above in English and 1 GCSE grade 2 or above in maths.

or 

• 1 GCSE grade 4 or above in maths and 1 GCSE grade 3 or above in English.

On successful completion of this course, you will achieve a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Practice (Dance).

You will benefit from regular guest workshops from artists and performers direct from industry. Previous examples include Adam Crossley, Emma Adcock, Liv Quantrill, New Adventures Dance Company (Matthew Bourne), Gustave Die and Junior Cunningham (Motion House Dance Theatre).

Our Dance students have been the official dance team for the Newcastle Eagles and have rehearsals and work weekly.

If you have not yet achieved GCSE grade 4 in English or maths, we will support you to achieve this alongside your studies. You will also experience English and maths on the course in practical situations, such as communicating choreography, planning performances, budgeting and your written coursework.

An Advanced Dance - Level 3 qualification will provide you with a great foundation for a career in dance.

You can choose to progress straight into industry, or (as many of our students have done) progress onto higher education training within conservatoires, or our own degree programme.
