More about the course

Engineering Operations is a practical course, designed to help you gain the essential skills needed to progress to a Level 3 Engineering course and beyond!

As an Engineering Operations learner, you will take part in hands-on lessons where you will learn how to perform basic engineering skills. We will introduce you to engineering theory and help develop your understanding of engineering processes, tools and equipment. You will cover topics where you will learn more about health and safety, engineering processes and also how to interpret engineering drawings in your work.

You will also have an opportunity to undertake practical work placements and take part in trips and visits to local companies - a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand how the engineering industry operates. We regularly invite guest speakers from industry to deliver presentations and hold discussion groups with students to give you key insight into current industry practice.
