Levels Explained

More about the course

Psychology is one of the UK's fastest-growing subjects at degree level and this Access to HE course will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to study psychology, counselling or a variety of related subjects at university.

Put simply, psychology is the study of mind and behaviour. On this course you will encounter ideas, debates and studies related to questions such as why we behave in certain ways in social situations, how we think and learn and how we develop over time. You will also learn how to design a piece of research and assess it.

Additionally, you will study psychology-related units such as counselling and social issues, where psychology is applied to real-world contexts.

Crucially, you will acquire academic skills like essay writing, paraphrasing and referencing to equip you with the tools needed for an undergraduate program. Lastly, you will be helped through the UCAS process to help you secure a place on the course of your choice.
