Certain industries are experiencing skills and knowledge gaps when employees leave the business, however by employing young talent you can retain the skills needed for the future. There is currently funding and grants available for business looking to employ an apprentice.

Apprenticeships can be tailored to any business and the business development team are able to advice which apprenticeship is most suitable for each business. We also offer a free recruitment service for businesses who require help with recruiting an apprentice.

You can choose from more than 30 apprenticeships routes across a range of job roles, from construction and engineering to business and digital, science and health to beauty and hospitality.

Non-Levy paying employers:

• Age 16-18 fully funded up to 49 staff
• Age 16-18 fully funded over 49 staff %5 co investment required
• Age 19+ %5 co investment required

Levy paying:

• Fully funded through employers Levy account (checks required/ this depend on how much remains in the account)

You can use apprenticeship training to fill key skill gaps in your business and boost employee motivation by investing in their development.

Anyone aged 16 and over could be eligible for an apprenticeship.

An apprentice will spend 4 days per week at work with the employer and will attend college 1 day per week.

Day release ensures that skills, knowledge and behaviours learned on-the-job are combined with theoretical and practical learning at college.

An apprenticeship agreement is signed by the employer and apprentice before the start of the programme and outlines key details about the apprenticeship. It's a legal requirement and acts as a contract of employment between the apprentice and employer.

The apprenticeship commitment statement refers to the planned content and schedule for training detailing what is expected and offered by the employer, the training provider and the apprentice as well as how to resolve queries or complaints.
