Help with the cost of studying
As a student at Newcastle College University Centre you may qualify for a range of financial support options to help support you with your studies. Undergraduate students can apply for a student loan to help pay tuition fees and a Maintenance Loan to help with living expenses.
First and Second year HE learners (Level 4 and Level 5) – Are you prepared? Have you reapplied for your student finance yet? If you want to have your student loans in place for the start of the next year of your course then the deadline for Student Finance England applications for new level 4 students is 22 May and for returning students on level 5 or 6 it is 19 June. Please apply as soon as possible here.
*Please note that applications can still be made after this date but your loan will not be guaranteed to be ready on time and could take many months to process.
Have you just finished your Foundation Degree, have not yet found employment, and are unsure about studying a Top-Up Degree this year? (you may qualify for Job Seekers Allowance/Universal Credit during the summer) please see here.
Newcastle College University Centre also offers a cash bursary of up to £1,000* for each year of study to help higher education students with the costs associated with studying a degree.
