Newcastle College’s annual Apprenticeship Awards returned on Thursday 8 February as part of a series of events to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2024.

The awards ceremony, held at Newcastle Copthorne Hotel, recognised and celebrated the staff and employers who work to support and champion apprenticeships, as well as those apprentices who have made significant progress in their workplaces this year.

This year, the event was sponsored by a collection of our valued employer partners:

  • SIAS
  • Persimmon Homes
  • Smulders
  • JW Dickinson
  • Quorum
  • WD Close
  • Endiprev
  • Logo-Bear
  • Edberts House
  • Trident

Mark Hetherington, Regional Manager for Trident said: “It was a great event that Trident Maintenance Services were delighted to attend in support of the fantastic opportunities the college offers.”

Scott Bullock, Principal of Newcastle College, added: “These awards are an opportunity to celebrate our fantastic apprentices, especially those who have gone above and beyond for their organisation over the last year. It’s also a chance to celebrate our fantastic employer partnerships, and to recognise those employers who help shape the future careers of our apprentices.

“Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, there were some very inspiring stories.”
