Newcastle Food Festival returned to the city recently, and Newcastle College students cooked up a storm on stage, taking part in a cook-off competition.
The annual two-day food festival took place at Leazes Park and Saturday's event saw Declan Dale and Cameron Normal-Moyle competing to be named 'Newcastle’s Next Best Chef', followed by Jacob Fairweather and Haesten Godson on the Sunday.
It was extremely close on both days, but congratulations go to Cameron and Haesten, who took the win on their respective days and had the chance to network with some of the region's best chefs.
Head of Hospitality, Phil Pringle said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to practice everything they’ve learnt throughout the year, to network with some of the region’s best chefs, and to show people how talented they are. Congratulations to Cameron and Haesten! You cooked your hearts out and you did a fantastic job."
Well done to both students.
