Once Universities and Colleges have given out all of their conditional and unconditional offers, they may have spaces available on their courses if they’re not yet at capacity. This means that, even after Results Day, there are options for students to switch their university place, even if they have got higher grades than expected.

But most of the time, Clearing is used by students who haven’t quite got the results they were expecting. This is your opportunity to find a course that’s right for you. You might find a different course at your first choice university, the course you originally wanted but at a different university, or you might start all over again and choose something completely different.

I’m interested in the Clearing courses at Newcastle College University Centre, what do I do next?

Take a look at our Clearing 2021 courses

We have over 70 courses available through Clearing in a wide range of subject areas. Simply click on the subject area you’re interested in to view our courses and find out more about what we can offer you. From Aviation to Policing, we have a course that suits everyone. And with entry requirements starting from only 48 points, whatever your circumstances, we can help you get your place.

Before you call us, jot down the course title and code you’re interested in studying as this will make it quicker for us to help you.

Get in touch

Our Clearing 2021 Hotline is open now for enquiries. Call 0191 200 4110 (Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm) to speak to a member of our team.

You can also email clearing@ncl-coll.ac.uk. Remember to have your UCAS Personal ID number ready so that we can deal with your enquiry quickly.

Tell us which course or subject you are interested in

When you speak to an adviser, let them know the UCAS code of the course you’re interested in studying.

We’re also keen to know your motivations for studying the course and what you’re hoping to achieve to make sure it’s the right course for you. We’ll talk through the courses we have in that area and the options you have, as well as giving you advice on whether our course is right for you.

Making an offer

If you meet the entry requirements for the course and have relevant knowledge and experience, where appropriate, you may be made an offer. For some courses within Creative Industries you may be invited to attend an audition or interview first before a decision is made.

UCAS Track

If we make you an offer through UCAS Clearing 2021, we will:

  • send you an email telling you what to do next.
  • check your grades and let UCAS know that we have offered you a place.

You will need to:

  • add your Clearing choice to your UCAS record in UCAS Track (you will be able to see on UCAS Track that we have made you an offer and have accepted you onto the course).

What if I haven’t made any applications through UCAS?

If you haven't made any applications through UCAS but would like to start a degree course with us in September, you will still able to apply through Clearing. Simply call our Clearing 2021 hotline on 0191 200 4110 and a member of the team will advise you of the next steps.
