What you can study

There are a number of routes into computing and games at Newcastle College. They entry level you take will depend on your predicted or current GCSE grades. Please use our guide below to help understand which level you need to apply for.

Typically, if you have or are predicted less than 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or below:

• INTRODUCTORY IT - LEVEL 1
  
  

Typically, if you have or are predicted 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above:

• DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY (DIGITAL APPLICATIONS) - LEVEL 2
  
  

Typically, if you have or are predicted 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above:

• DIGITAL MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA - LEVEL 3
• GAMES DESIGN - LEVEL 3
• IT (NETWORKING AND CYBER SECURITY)
• IT (SOFTWARE ENGINEERING)
