Performing Arts and Production Courses

Our performance and production arts courses will help you to develop your technical abilities as a performer, whether you’re an actor, singer, dancer or musical theatre specialist. They’ll introduce essential knowledge and skills for working in the entertainment industry. You’ll benefit from first-class facilities, work experience opportunities and cross-course collaborations.

Who you'll learn from
Alongside being taught by industry experienced tutors, our courses offer workshop opportunities with visiting practitioners and choreographers. You will also benefit from close links with local theatre and production companies. Our partners include Royal Shakespeare Company, Open Clasp Theatre Company, Ballet Lorent, Fertile Ground, Eliot Smith Dance Company, Overcoming Theatre and Northern Stage.

Where you’ll study
You’ll study at our nationally-renowned Performance Academy, which houses a 200-seat theatre with fly-tower, a studio theatre, nine dancing and acting studios with sprung floors, barres and mirrors and an experimental theatre hub.
