How we work in partnership with
Newcastle Rugby Foundation
Through our collaborative programmes; CAST, HITZ, and Futures, we use the power of sport to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and open doors to brighter futures.

CAST
The CAST is the friendly face of Newcastle Rugby Foundation on Newcastle Falcons' match days!
Our CAST volunteers help make every game a fantastic experience for fans by welcoming supporters, scanning tickets, and selling raffle tickets to raise vital funds.
This programme gives our college students the opportunity to build confidence, develop social skills, and gain valuable experience in a live event environment. It’s especially supportive for those facing challenges such as anxiety, disabilities, or social isolation, helping them grow, make new friends, and gain valuable life skills.

HITZ
The HITZ programme works to change perceptions of education and employment, helping young people see new possibilities for their future. We currently support 142 Sport, Law, Policing and Protective Services students to work towards their qualifications while also receiving personal and professional support from the NRF.
The HITZ programme helps students develop key life skills such as:
-
Building confidence and self-esteem
-
Managing money effectively
-
Using social media in a positive way
-
Developing strong professional relationships

Futures
The Futures programme is designed to help our young students to develop the emotional intelligence they need to thrive in education, work, and life.
Through a 6-part Emotional Intelligence programme our students learn how to manage their emotions, build resilience, and develop stronger relationships.
After completing the Futures programme our students have a greater level of self-belief and hopefulness about the future with the ability to better deal with challenging situations.
