My ESOL course was a fantastic experience. It helped me improve my English and feel more confident communicating in everyday life. The friendly environment and encouraging teachers made me want to continue studying here and take the next step toward a professional qualification.

Could you tell us a bit about yourself, your background?
I’m originally from Portugal and moved to the UK a few years ago. I’ve always been passionate about beauty and hair, and I currently work as a hairdresser. I decided to come back to education to gain formal qualifications and improve my English at the same time.

Were there any barriers you had to get past? Was your course funded?
The biggest barrier for me was the language at first, but the teachers were patient and helped me a lot. My course was funded, which made it easier for me to focus on learning without worrying too much about finances.
