If you are passionate about the development of children and young people and want to make a real difference, an early years course at Newcastle College could be for you.


You might be currently working with children or young people and want to get qualified or maybe you have taken a career break to care for your own family and are looking to take that first step back into education.

Our early years courses are designed to help you develop the practical skills and knowledge to set you up for a rewarding career in the sector.

You will benefit from practical teaching spaces, nursery reception classes and kitchens and a multi-sensory room, as well as a work placement to gain real-life work experience.

Early Years Practitioner - Level 2 (Part-Time)

This Early Years Practitioner - Level 2 course is a part-time intensive course designed to help adults begin a career in childcare and early years education.

Length: 4 hours per week for 35 weeks
Study: Part-Time

This Supporting Teaching and Learning - Level 2 course will help you take your first steps towards a career as a teaching assistant.
