Location: Unit 8 Mercury, Orion Way, Orion Business Park, North Shields, Tyne and Wear, NE29 7SN (plus various sites across the North East)
Salary: £9.23 per hour
Hours: 40 hours/week

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

• Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  Positions Available: 2
  Minimum Age: 18 (due to insurance requirements)

Role Overview

We are seeking Trainee HVAC Commissioning Engineers who are enthusiastic about starting a career in commissioning engineering. This role offers the first step towards becoming a fully qualified commissioning engineer, with hands-on experience and comprehensive support, including theoretical learning and mentorship from senior staff.

You will gain exposure to a wide variety of building projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, and heritage developments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking a meaningful, technical career with real progression prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior commissioning engineers with HVAC system start-ups and functional testing

• Learn to operate air and water measurement tools

• Develop understanding of pre-commissioning and commissioning principles

• Participate in technical training and workshops

• Assist in preparing reports and commissioning documentation

• Observe and assist in system troubleshooting and problem-solving

• Input test data using digital tools

• Work safely in compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation
