Are you looking to build a career in administration within a dynamic and growing business? AJP Recruitment is offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented apprentice to join our team as an Office Support Manager (Apprentice).

Based in our central Newcastle office, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy recruitment agency, while gaining real-world business experience and working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Your Role as a Business Administration Apprentice:

As an Apprentice Office Support Manager, you will support the team across a variety of administrative functions, including:

  • Answering incoming calls and directing them professionally

  • Welcoming candidates and clients to the office

  • Formatting CVs using Microsoft Word

  • Assisting with weekly payroll input

  • Ordering office stationery and managing supplies

  • Booking travel for internal staff

  • Handling post and dispatching company literature

  • Maintaining accurate data on our CRM system

  • Processing credit checks for clients

  • Logging staff holiday requests and monitoring absence records

  • Updating internal boards and consultant activity logs

  • Taking minutes during meetings and filing documents

  • Providing PA support to the Managing Director

  • Supporting marketing tasks, including creating social media content and updating the company website

  • Assisting with events that promote the company and its services

Working Hours & Flexibility:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM

  • 35 hours per week

  • Hybrid working available (up to 2 days per week, following training period)

Essential:

  • A confident, professional, and friendly approach

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • A willingness to learn new tasks and grow in responsibility

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

  • Competence with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel

  • Reliability and a strong work ethic
